New Introductions for 1999


.Meadow Rabbit - Guild complimentary 1999 The complimentary piece for renewing / joining members of the Royal Crown Derby Collectors Guild in 1999 will be a "Meadow Rabbit". A new colourway on the original Rabbit modeled by Robert Jefferson. The new colourway is by a new designer, Tien Manh Dinh

 

The "Guild exclusive" for 1999 will be a "Woodland Pheasant" which is another colourway by Louise Adams on the original model by Robert Jefferson.

The "Event piece" for 1999 will be "The Partridge" This piece is designed and decorated by John Ablitt. This is a change from the original announcement that it would be a new colourway on the Quail .

General introductions to be made to the range from January are :

"Drummer Bear" similar to the Govier's version but is differentiated by the decoration on the drum being a different pattern Modeled by John Ablitt Drummer Bear - General Release Version

 

Nuthatch paperweight
"Nuthatch" exactly the same as the version prerelease from Collectables available in the latter half of 1998. Modeled by John Ablitt.

 

"Rocky Mountain Bear" same as the Govier's signature version except bearing a standard backstamp. This is based on the Russian Bear originally modeled by Robert Jefferson


"Sitting Piglet" and a "Sleeping Piglet"
These completely new models both by John Ablitt
also make their debut in January.
